As you walk, your guide will share about the history, culture, and art of this vibrant neighborhood where famous painters like Van Gogh once lived and worked. Climb the winding streets and visit popular landmarks and hidden gems along the way. These include the Moulin de la Galette, a historic windmill painted by Impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir, the ancient Rue des Abbesses, various unusual artworks, the city’s only vineyard, and more. At the highest natural point in Paris, the summit of Montmartre, we’ll pause to enjoy the views from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Your guide has tips for what to look for inside. Admission is free. You’ll stroll around the iconic basilica, then make your way to Place du Tertre, a charming square buzzing with artists and lined with picturesque restaurant terraces.
